When buying mats, the worry is not the sample — it's the bulk order. A sample only shows what a factory can do; the bulk order shows what it actually does.
Both fears come down to the same root: you cannot see the production process, so quality relies entirely on the supplier's self-discipline. When the supplier is disciplined, everything is fine; when the supplier slacks off, you have no way to know.
There is an old saying: quality is produced, not inspected. Inspection before shipping can only intercept problems — the source of problems is inside the production process.
Custom mat production has many steps and a long chain: from raw materials to finished goods, multiple processes are involved, and any step out of control affects the final quality. What's more, the most important quality indicators of a mat are exactly the ones invisible to the eye — they cannot be confirmed by "looking at them", only guaranteed by control inside the production process. If the raw material stage has no control, inferior materials end up inside your finished goods. If production has no monitoring, deviations in size and appearance repeat across the whole batch. If nothing is documented, a problem cannot be traced back to a step — and therefore cannot really be solved.
So quality control must be pushed forward into every step, not "fixed up" at the end. Fixing intercepts problems; control eliminates them.
Gate 1: Incoming raw material inspection — the source must pass first
Foam, PVC surface and adhesive are verified on arrival: density, thickness, composition against standard. Non-conforming materials never enter the workshop.
Raw materials are the source of quality. A mat's durability, rebound and impact protection fundamentally depend on what it is made of. When this gate holds, every later step works with qualified materials; when it fails, even the most careful production cannot save the finished product. Gate 2: Machine production + human supervision — machines for consistency, people for timeliness
Our production is largely done by machines. We use machines instead of pure handwork because machines control consistency better: with the same parameters and the same production line, every roll of mats comes out identical — no fluctuations caused by different workers' conditions. The larger the batch, the greater the advantage — one hundred rolls and one thousand rolls, exactly the same standard.
But machines don't run unattended. Throughout production, our people are right there supervising: watching whether the machines run normally and whether the semi-finished mats meet requirements, stopping to fix problems on the spot so they never flow to the next step.
Machines guarantee consistency; people guarantee problems are caught in time — two safeguards, both essential. This is why QT MAT can say "the sample is the mass-production standard": not by luck, but by this dual guarantee of machine + human.
Gate 3: Final inspection — non-conforming goods don't enter storage
Finished mats are checked item by item: overall dimensions, thickness, surface appearance, seams, edges, logo position. Only fully conforming goods go into storage.
At this point the goods are already "deliverable". Qualified mats move on to packing and shipping; anything found with a problem is reworked or handled on the spot. The pre-shipping check simply re-confirms goods that are already qualified — because the real control was completed in the earlier gates.
Gate 4: Inspection & shipping, fully documented — you can see it even when you're not there
We keep photo and video records of the inspection process and the shipping process. Whenever a customer needs them, the records are available — even if you're not on site, you can see how your goods were inspected and loaded.
Packing and container loading are filmed: what was loaded, how much, and how properly — all clear at a glance. From raw materials to shipment, every step is traceable. This is accountable to our customers and to ourselves: at any time, we can tell you exactly where your goods are and prove it.
Q: The sample is great — will bulk production shrink in quality?
No. Machines run with unified parameters; material, process and testing standards stay the same throughout bulk production. Key parameters are measurable and records are available. The sample is the mass-production standard.
Q: I can't see the production process — how do I confirm quality?
Three ways: visit the factory during production, cooperate with third-party inspection agencies, and photo/video records of inspection and shipping available on request. Even if you're not on site, you can see how your goods were inspected and loaded.
Q: Can I send an inspector or a third-party agency?
Yes. QT MAT welcomes on-site inspections by customers and cooperates with third-party inspection agencies — both during production and before shipment.
Q: What if I find quality problems after arrival?
