How We Prevent Inconsistent Roll Mat Thickness from Becoming a Problem for Your Dojo

Most dojos typically choose mats with a thickness of 4–5 cm. However, when you receive mats from a supplier, complete the installation, and are ready to start training, you may find thickness differences between mats or uneven distribution. This can affect training performance, and you may need to spend additional time communicating with the supplier for replacements, which is both time-consuming and inefficient.

At QT MAT, we follow the principle of less spend, less concern. We address this issue through three key stages: raw material processing, production process, and quality inspection.

Raw Material Stage

First, during the raw material stage, we use machines to process materials, ensuring more even distribution and removing impurities so that density remains consistent after pressing.

Foaming Process

During the foaming process, we precisely control temperature and timing to ensure each foam layer maintains a consistent thickness, avoiding situations where mats with the same 5 cm specification end up having different actual thicknesses. Such variation may affect stability during training and create unnecessary risks.

Final Inspection

During the final inspection stage, after production is completed, we carry out multi-point measurements on every roll mat. Although strict control is already applied in earlier stages, we still conduct manual inspections to further reduce the risk of deviation and ensure every mat meets the required standards.
